***SPAIG Award ***
The Statistical Partnerships among Academe, Industry, and Government (SPAIG) committee of the American Statistical Association would like to solicit applications/or nominations for the SPAIG award. Each year, SPAIG recognizes effective partnerships with a SPAIG award. The partnership must include an academic institution and an industry/government institution where at least one of the institutions is located in the United States. The award is presented at the annual Joint Statistical Meetings. For nomination forms, please click on the "Awards" link. Examples of successful partnerships (past award winners) are also featured on this website. The 2010 SPAIG award was presented to Pfizer and Rutgers University
For an outstanding partnership, which has resulted in:
* Excellent training, mentorship, and work experience for Masters and PhD graduate students
* Collaborations leading to publications and dissertation research on problems of interest to industry statisticians
* Opportunities for financial support for hundreds of graduate students over the course of several years.
