Dining Services plans to expand meal options, continue theme nights
August 25, 2006 —
Everyone has to eat, and there are many places on campus to do so. The RFoC, Einstein's food court, Apple Slice Cafe, C-Store, Freshens, and Java City offer a wide variety of choices.
According to Dining Services Marketing Manager Heidi Shattuck, the RFoC will focus more this year on being "the healthy, vegan and vegetarian friendly RFoC."
"We will have more choice for the vegan/vegetarians than just pasta and salad," she says.
During the first week of classes, Einstein's Eatery Food Court will have vendors with samples. Jones Soda Gene will be there Thursday, Sept. 7. "Everyone loves to have a bottle of Jones Soda," Shattuck says. Watch for most of the vendors around lunchtime.
Students will receive e-mails about theme nights in the RFoC once the semester starts. Last year, a carnival and a restaurant theme were two such events. The first theme night will take place Sept. 7, and will also be the first anniversary party.
