Program Board unveils new logo, searches for larger membership
January 17, 2005 —
Earlier in the school year, Saginaw Valley State University's Program Board spent countless hours planning, restructuring, and compromising on a new constitution.
They decided that, with a new constitution, they should have a new look as well.
Program Board was offering a $50 prize to the person who designed the best new logo for their club, and advertised their offer with posters around campus.
After much deliberation, they announced that the winner of the contest was Brian Hinz of Macomb, MI.
"The new logo is a new look for a new start," says Bill Stec, president of Program Board.
"This is the logo everyone will see when Program Board not only puts on an event, but also when we sponsor one as well."
Program Board wants to kick off the new year by having a campus-wide free movie night. They will be showing Anchorman, starring Will Ferrell.
The movie night will be held Wednesday, Jan. 19 and will run from 10 pm until midnight.
Domino's will offer free pizza at the event; popcorn and pop will be also be offered.
"By joining Program Board, you will have the ability to put on festivals, concerts and student trips," Stec says. "You will learn valuable leadership skills, and you can help make a difference."
If interested in joining Program Board, applications will be accepted until Friday, Jan. 21.
Interested students should contact Stec at 964-6077, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
