Lady Cards snap 55-match GLIAC losing streak

The SVSU women's volleyball team won 3-0 over Gannon in the Cardinal Gym on Saturday, stopping its 55-match conference losing streak.
Leading the Cardinals was sophomore Amy Howard, who had 43 assists and ten digs. Sophomore Danielle Dryer and junior Suzanne Beaver recorded 14 and 15 kills, respectively, as the Cardinals hit over .300 for the match.
The Cardinals won the match 30-18, 30-20, and 30-21.
SVSU rebounded after a close 3-2 home loss to Mercyhurst the night before. The Cardinals went up 2-1 in the match before losing the last two games.
The next match for the Cardinals is Friday at 7 p.m. at Ferris State.
