Thanksgiving cocktails stir up holiday cheer

As we fill our bellies with Thanksgiving delights on Thursday, make sure to save room for some holiday inspired drinks. A twist on an old classic, apple cider punch maybe just what you need to wash down the turkey and stuffing. Butterbeer could be the perfect potion for Harry Potter lovers before heading to the theaters. While decorating the Christmas tree, egg nog will help prepare the pallet for the season. Buttered toffee drink could become a creamy seasonal favorite.
Buttered Toffee Drink
Ing redients:
- 1oz Amaretto
- 1oz Coffee Liqueur
-1 oz Irish Cream
- 1 ice cube
- 3 oz Half and Half
To Make:
- Combine ingredients and stir or shake gently
Egg Nog
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Cognac
- 1 cup Bourbon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Sugar
- 12 Eggs
- 3 pints Heavy Cream
- 1 (sliced) Nutmeg
To Make:
- Mix in large bowl and serve chilled.
Butterbeer
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butterscotch topping
- 2 tablespoons whipped butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 c ups vanilla cream soda
To Make:
- Combine condensed milk, butterscotch topping, and
butter, heat in microwave for 1 minute. Stir until butter has
melted. Heat cream soda for 1 minute 30 seconds. Divide
butterscotch mixture between 2 (10 to 12-ounce) mugs. Fill
mugs with heated cream soda and stir thoroughly.
Apple Cider Punch
Ingredients:
- 4 qt Apple Cider
- 3 sticks Cinnamon
- 6 oz (frozen) Orange Juice
- 6 whole Allspice
- 6 whole Clove
- 6 oz (frozen) Lemonade
- 1 cup (Packed) Brown
- 1 tsp (ground) Nutmeg
Non-Alcoholic Thanksgiving Sparkler
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces light brown sugar
- 1 lemon wedge
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or 1/8 teaspoon
ground ginger)
- 5 ounces cranberry cocktail or apple juice
- 1 bottle chilled sparkling apple juice
- Fresh pomegranate seeds for garnish
To Make:
- In a glass jar mix together cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
- Add juice and shake
- Refrigerate until ready to use
- Pour brown sugar on a
small plate
- Rub lemon wedge along the rim of each champagne glass
- Dip rim in brown sugar until coated
- Shake jar of juice with spices until blended
- Add one ounce to each glass
- Fill glass with sparkling juice
- Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and serve
