Campus intruder invades Townhomes

An SVSU student woke up early on Nov. 18 and found an uninvited guest exposing himself in her bedroom. This incident occurred in the Cardinal Townhomes early in the morning and is the latest in a series of unlawful entries.

The intruder has twice succeeded in masturbating on the beds of the residents. All reported incidents occurred where girls reside and the doors are left unlocked. Entries have taken place between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. in on and off campus apartments.

The student reported seeing an unknown subject in her bedroom. The subject left a short time later upon being discovered. The intruder was described as a white male, tall and thin, wearing a white baseball cap and a green sweatshirt. This incident and the description of the subject matches two similar incidents that have recently occurred on campus.

"If somebody's heard their door jiggle or any information about suspicious activity between 3 o'clock in the morning and 5 o'clock in the morning, please call our office or call 911," Sergeant Marc Strain said. "Past or present. If it has happened in the past call our office at let us talk to you about it."

When he is caught, the intruder will face numerous charges of breaking and entering and charges along the line of indecent exposure.

University Police are stepping up their efforts to try to catch him.

Campus crime stoppers are offering a reward of $250 for information that leads to the apprehension of this subject.

SVSU students arrested on drug charges

On Nov. 27, University Police assisted in a drug bust involving two SVSU students.

"The Saginaw County Narcotics Team contacted us that they were working on a drug purchase from a couple of students," Strain said. "They asked our office to stop a vehicle."

The vehicle was searched and a half pound of marijuana was found. The students were arrested and are waiting to be arraigned by Saginaw County officials.
