Metal at the Smokehouse
Local metal act Hokori will join Dioxin, Somnia, and Depravicus this Friday at the Jambalaya Smokehouse on State Street. The cost for entry is only 4 dollars, so anyone looking for a cheap way to be entertained for the evening could do a lot worse than this. The address for the Smokehouse is 3504 State Street, Saginaw. Casey Stratton coming to the Beanery
Harvest Coffeehouse and Beanery in Bay City will be hosting singer/songwriter Casey Stratton on Saturday. This guy makes some very melodic music, and his voice is quite haunting, so this should be an interesting show. Frankenmuth travels back to the 80s
From April 20-21, Heritage Park in Frankenmuth will be hosting the "80's Festival", a celebration of the music and culture of the 1980's. The cover charge is 5 dollars, and there will be live bands, a car show, memorabilia display, and on top of that, it's a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, so you can travel back in time and help people simultaneously. Photography focused on empty baseball stadiums is on display at the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art in Midland. Focusing the spectator's point of view, these photographs taken from all around America by Jim Dow himself show massive stadiums in a new light, without fans, players, or even maintenance workers in view.
