Davis repairs to start in May

Travelers may need to find new route

Students who take Davis Road through campus will soon find themselves searching for another shortcut.

SVSU recently acquired the stretch of Davis Road from Pierce to College Drive from the county, and are planning on making much-needed improvements. According to James Muladore, vice president for administration and business affairs, Davis Road was not designed for the current amount of traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian, that it currently supports. »

Student makes violent comments

A faculty member contacted the University Police and reported that a student made a violent comment in class. When questioned by police, the student denied making the comment. »

Fraternity goes national

SVSU's chapter of Nu Lambda Nu has gone national and is now Phi Kappa Tau.

The fraternity formerly known as Nu Lambda Nu, which has 27 members, has been on campus since December 2006. The fraternity has increased its recruitment this year - last fall brought in 10 new members and this semester brought another seven. »

Alternative Breaks student helps women in Chicago, in the process finds herself

After six months and successfully completing 40 hours of domestic violence training, I hopped on my first train, listened to a few James Taylor songs, and looked forward to the adventure I was about to embark on in Chicago. The trip was not only an adventure, but it was also a learning experience. I traveled with six other SVSU female students to the Windy City and we spent our spring break volunteering our time to those in need. »
