SVSU's response to MRSA more than adequate

A GOOD WAY TO MAKE THE HEADLINES -

SVSU's response to the wildly overblown MRSA 'threat' has not only been appropriate, but maybe even excessive. An e-mail was sent to the campus community, first of all, which pointed out specific safe hygiene practices that can make contracting the disease on accident highly unlikely. »

Starbucks brings college feel

Sometimes when I visit my friends at other universities, I start to feel a little jealous. There are so many campus towns and campuses around Michigan that have an unmistakable feel of college-ness about them. It's the feeling that I don't get very often when I'm on SVSU's campus. Sure, we have the C-Store, and the dorms, some fountains, and enough posters on the walls to cover a small town in Red Pride, but I always felt like it was lacking something. »

Third parties discriminated against

I'm sure a lot of you have been, at very least, glancing at the national news or taking a brief listen to a talk radio program to update yourself on the 2008 presidential race. There has been a significant amount of deliberation on this topic on campus. That said, you may already have a candidate or two in mind, or you may be the type that likes to wait until much later to back a particular hopeful. »
