Directory should be accessible off campus

Don't look now - Because you won't be able to see anything. Recently, the online directory listing the faculty and staff at SVSU has changed so that faculty e-mail addresses can only be viewed from on campus; if you're trying to contact a professor from off-campus, you'll have to send him or her an e-mail using a Web form. This is a well-intentioned, but misguided idea. »

University living up to motto

Not long ago, SVSU adopted a new motto: "Something More, Something Better." Many people (myself included) didn't really know what this meant when the phrase was unveiled. Coffeehouse, Poetry Slam take steps in right direction

This is a positive review.

Beginning this week with Program Board's latest Coffeehouse show in the Cardinal Cage, and ending with the Cardinal Sins Slamoramaglamajama in the Multi-Purpose Room, this week proved that we are finally beginning to see the groundwork laid for a stronger campus community here at SVSU. »

Fresh Start program in need of revision

What was supposed to be a chocolate drizzled prequel to the Freshman 15 with whipped cream and a cherry on top was ice cream soup. Sun, Splits and Student Life -- a program inside of Fresh Start '07 -- offered ice cream and some Student Life information at one station, bananas and more information at the next station, and so on. But as you can imagine, by the time the freshmen got to the last station -- spoons -- we could drink our dessert. »
