Student Association and Program Board have both produced interesting and compelling candidates for this years presidency. I am tired of people and their increasing levels of disrespect. I've noticed, increasingly so, the number of people that come in late to classes, leave in the middle of classes (sometimes in the middle of lecture or discussion), talk in class, have their cell phone on in class, etc. Why? Furthermore, why does it so often seem to be the same people? I understand it may happen to you once in a while, but what are the excuses of the individuals who practice these habits incessantly? Whatever they are, I am certain they can't be valid. »
Long-term health insurers engage in some of the most vile, repugnant and damn-near insane business practices imaginable. Mary Oakley was quite right in stating that "we all have our little pet peeves." Unlike Oakley, my "little pet peeve" is not simply walking past a smoker on my way to class. My most recently acquired pet peeve is reading opinion pieces such as Oakley's "Smoking senseless, unhealthy" in the Valley Vanguard. »

The article "Students should enjoy college" was not just disturbing, but absurd. As a junior at SVSU, I feel that I have enjoyed my college experience thus far, and I have not had to do any "asinine, screwed up, silly thing" during my years on campus. Though I am a so-called "big kid" now, I do feel that I can do whatever I want, but I would not suggest staying up until six in the morning or cheating on my boyfriend at a frat party. »
