Few will dispute that the average college student cares a great deal about music, and given the amount of time and money we invest in it, there is no surprise when it becomes the focus of our conversations and criticism. Much is the case at SVSU, where music performances (or the lack thereof) have drawn the ire of many, including this publication. Two years ago, we criticized the amount of money spent on Ludacris and last year some of us wondered why any money at all was spent on bringing Dashboard Confessional to campus. »

I first saw the phrase "education industry" a while ago. I don't even remember where it was printed because at the time it didn't mean anything to me. Yet, my five years at SVSU have given new meaning to the words and indeed have made them very scary. »

In regards to the article in the Nov. 20 issue about the man who was tasered at a Saginaw City Council meeting, SVSU student Charles Littleton had absolutely no call nor excuse to strike back at police officers when they were enforcing a city rule inside the city council chambers. »

As an electronics retail employee, I go through my fair share of people who want to buy the latest game for the Xbox, Gamecube, or PlayStation 2. I'd say, on average, I probably sell about 10 to 15 games during a five hour shift, meaning that a lot of people bark at me, but I really don't mind. One thing that I DO mind, however, is when I check our calendar at work to see that a new sports game is slated for release, because there are so many things I see wrong with any kind of sports video game. »
