Last year, the University took a strict step, banning drinking games during on-campus tailgating in response to a concern with binge drinking and the behavior of intoxicated students during games. A year later, the tailgating issue is being revisited thanks to a hodge-podge of troubling behavior - poor sportsmanship, deadly blood alcohol content levels, and bad MLive publicity, to name a few. »

At least, this appears to be the case when crossing College Drive leaving the Pine Grove apartments. I find myself laughing as I read the tailgating ad - well, actually, when I see the pictures of the students and athletes sponsoring it. I think it would be less hypocritical if they used students and athletes who followed the code of conduct talked about in the ad. While it makes a valid point, it loses all of its validity when it's backed by those who violate it. Being sober in the crowd, I've observed who has jeered the opposing team. Actually, it seems like the only thing our Red Zone does is jeer. »

On this day 451 years ago, your faith was in essence legitimized by the Peace of Augsburg, which promised to end the internecine warfare in central Europe that had been raging since Martin Luther's 95 Theses were nailed to a church door in Wittenburg. With peace secured, Catholics and Lutherans were both able to focus on eliminating the much peskier Anabaptists and Calvinists. »
How many of you have gotten up realizing you have only 10 minutes to get to class and then drive there only to find no close parking spots available? I know I'm not the only one who has driven from the Village to Brown Hall or Science East with only five minutes to spare, only to spend the next 10 minutes trying to find a parking spot. »
