The SVSU Board of Control approved an increase in student housing rental rates for the 2006-2007 school year during its regular session Friday, Dec. 16. On average, rates will increase by 4.3 percent. »
Coming in the fall semester, SVSU students will not have to drive far down Bay Road to get their fill of chicken wings, beer, and scantily clad women. A new Hooters is coming to Kochville Township, just over a mile from campus. »
The logo for the recently created Cardinal Broadcasting Association features a beefed-up cardinal with a headset and microphone standing on a pedestal that says "on air." Although it is not quite on the air yet, the CBA is working towards getting there. »
Program Board will be giving away tickets to the sold out Detroit Pistons versus Houston Rockets bus trip at the basketball games Thursday night against Findlay. One pair of tickets will be available during halftime of the women's game with two additional pairs offered at halftime of the men's contest later that evening. »
Students interested in joining Program Board have until Friday to apply when open recruitment for the winter semester ends.
Those interested can get an application on the Program Board Web site or pick one up at the Student Life Center. Applicants must be taking a minimum of six credits and have at least a 2.0 GPA. Program Board will inform applicants if they have been accepted and once the applicant attends a meeting, they become a member of Program Board with voting rights and access to Program Board's Blackboard site. »
