It is a shame to see movies like The Man. Take a movie going for humor and pair Eugene Levy with Samuel L. Jackson. What could go wrong? A great deal, unfortunately. Does anything go right? Well, here and there, but for every good scene there are four bad ones. After seeing this waste of money and talent, Hollywood will have its work cut out for it in restoring moviegoers' faith in the cop buddy movie formula. »
Looks can be deceiving, and so is the case with The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Trailers would lead you to believe that "Rose" is the second coming of The Exorcist, but it soon becomes clear that the picture has more in common with The Practice, than the 1973 classic. »
A few times a year, a talented actor becomes entangled in a less-than-stellar film, and I find myself asking them, "What were you thinking?" I can only imagine that Jason Statham had similar sentiments about his involvement in the quickly decaying franchise of Transporter movies. »

Cardinal Sins, SVSU's student-run literary magazine, will be hosting a poetry slam Thursday in the Cardinal Cage.
The event, which is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m., gives students and faculty alike the opportunity to share their work during an open-mic session or compete in the slam itself, where poets are judged and compete for cash prizes. »
