Coffee shop offers creative entertainment

Upon entering the shop, it is
evident that Brewtopia has several
unique quirks.

If it’s not the usual smell of
frappes, then perhaps its the sight of
the only coffee roaster in the tri-county
area. Or maybe it’s the historic wooden
floor and brick walls, decorated with
local artists’ paintings. Or, if you’re in
there at just the right time, it could be
the live entertainment. »

Local area hosts variety of summer festivals

During
summertime ,
people are on
the lookout
for concerts,
sports events
or any outdoor
activity.
From
a Polish
Fest to the
Dow Bay
City
River
Roar ,
there is
plenty
for locals
to do this
summer.

Among the
most popular
attractions
is the Lawn
Chair Film
Festival. Film Fest
takes place every Sunday of
July and August, starting with the third
Sunday in June. Movies sponsored by local
businesses are shown in the parking lot at the
corner of Ames and Hamilton in Old Saginaw
City. Movies are projected onto a large screen
on the side of a nearby building. Films begin
at dusk and there is entertainment beforehand.
Refreshments and chair rentals are available,
though attendees are encouraged to bring their
own lawn chairs. »
