Rudey helps women's XC team to fifth-place

Junior Becca Rudey took first place in the College Maroon women's division of the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday, continuing a strong season for the two-time GLIAC runner of the week.

Rudey finished the race in 17:56, crossing nine seconds ahead of the second-place runner, Esther Erb from first-place Case Western.

Sophomore Nicole Schmidt finished 27th with a time of 19:18, while freshman Jackie Reder ran the race in 19:26, finishing 36th. Freshman Maggie Stalker finished 49th with a time of 19:42.

The women's and men's cross country teams will compete on Friday in the Michigan Intercollegiate Championship at Ferris State.
