Literary magazine announces Poetry Slam

SVSU's literary magazine, Cardinal Sins, will be holding its third annual Fall Poetry Slam on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 10 p.m. until midnight in the Cardinal Cage.

Prizes will be awarded at the event, with $20 going to the third place winner, $30 to second place, and $50 and publication in the Fall 2006 issue of Sins to the first place winner.

Poetry Slam participants must be an SVSU student, alum, or staff or faculty member to be eligible for the judged portion of the event.

Submissions for the Cardinal Sins magazine itself should be turned in to Evening Services, SE 201, by Sept. 25 at 8:30 p.m.
