Tenor coaches music students

Paul Spencer Adkins coaches music education junior Lauralean Sims-Cheatham (above) during "The Ebony & Ivory Artist in Residency" program on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

While Adkins began and ended the program with musical selections, the main portion of the program consisted of what Adkins described as a "master class format."

Adkins provided feedback to music students including Sims-Cheatham and music senior Brynn Kingry (below), giving them the opportunity to work with the award-winning tenor who has performed with numerous orchestras and choral groups. Adkins has also been featured on a number of television shows including Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
