Vocalist visiting campus tomorrow

Noted African-American vocalist Paul Spencer Adkins will perform in concert at SVSU tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall.
Adkins, a senior lecturer at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, was a winner in the first Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and has also won in Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera auditions.
A tenor, Adkins has performed with a variety of symphonic groups, including the Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Toronto Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
He also has toured nationally with the Norman Luboff Choir and sang a solo performance for the Isreali Consulate in New York City, honoring jazz legend Lionel Hampton.
Traveling widely as an artist-in-residence, Adkins performs a variety of music, including art songs, spirituals, popular music, and arias.
