I could not believe my eyes when I read the article about Zachary Beach, a former SVSU student who is being charged with several felony counts. First of all, when did the Vanguard become The Saginaw News? I think this article was inappropriate and whoever wrote it could have come up with something better to do with their time. I don't think it should have been publicly displayed in this manner.
My boyfriend, who happened to be waiting for me while I was in class, got a hold of a Vanguard and said, "This is messed up." When I read it, I couldn't help to say the same. I think it is bad enough for what the student will have to endure; yet you want to ridicule someone. Don't you think there is enough of this in our world already? Whoever decided to publish this article made a poor decision. Isn't our privacy being protected anymore, isn't this type of article an immoral invasion of privacy? Once we become The Saginaw News and are able to publish articles as such, I suggest that before pointing the finger at others, maybe we should take a look at our own lives.
