Lack of sidewalk care unsafe

I would like to send you an acknowledgment letter that this campus is open until 10 p.m. on almost every day.
That's right; students are still going to classes until 10 p.m. Anyway, the reason for this letter is to let you know that the walkways on and around campus are particularly bad in the winter, especially once all the facilities people have checked out.
The campus community should not have to worry about each step they take, because there could be sheets of ice hidden underneath the five inches of snow. This is very unsafe and someone is going to get seriously hurt if nothing is done.
The costs to keep the campus community safe would not be very much; all it would take is to keep a plow driver on duty to make sure all the paths are safe for pedestrians until about 10:15 p.m.
This is very cheap when compared to the alternative of potential lawsuits for injuries incurred due to improper care of walkways. I honestly feel that it is SVSU's responsibility to make sure that everybody is safe on campus.
