SMEA to hold educational forum tomorrow
The Student Michigan Education Association will be sponsoring a forum where professionals from a variety of educational backgrounds will answer questions about future careers in teaching.
The forum will take place tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in the Alan W. Ott Auditorium of the Regional Education Center.
There will be door prizes.
Free food forum held this Wednesday
The University Residence Association and Dining Services will be hosting a food forum on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.
Students are invited to express their questions, comments, and concerns regarding SVSU's dining options.
Free food will be available.
Peer educators needed
The Student Counseling Center is looking for student leaders that are interested in being peer educators.
Training will begin this semester, and applications are due in Curtiss 112 by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007.
Students interested should visit svsu.edu/bacchus, where information and application materials can be found.
New writing competition offered
The University Writing Committee is searching for writing in any genre that explores "The Challenge of Religion," which was the topic of the 2006 Fall Focus lecture series.
First place will be awarded $200, second $150, and third $100.
All manuscripts will be due to Diane Boehm in the SVSU Writing Center, SE 123, by Tuesday, Feb. 13.
