New athletics Web site a welcome relief

A BIG UPGRADE -

The redesigned athletics Web site looks and feels great, and there seems to be a lot more content too, including highlight reels of the incoming rookies on the football team. It looks like one of SVSU's departments is committed to really retooling its Web site to make it more reader-friendly. »

Easterwood ignored the positives

submitted by Liz Calloway

In your Feb. 18 issue of the Vanguard an article was written about Valentine's Day and the selling of condom roses. Unfortunately that article did not mention that the organization selling those condom roses was also selling Valentine's Day cards, and for one dollar was offering students to make their own Valentine's Day card, nor did the article mention that the same exact organization was also selling stars and feet also for one dollar, to raise money for Relay for Life. College Republicans the losers in Rhea Miller debate

The College Republicans and the Organization for Progressive Politics (OPP) had a policy debate last Tuesday in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall. The debate focused on three major political issues: immigration, health care, and the environment; and each organization fielded a student to debate each issue. I thought the OPP won. »
