Alt Breaks rebuilds runaway shelter

Every year, a group of SVSU students choose to forego a traditional spring break and travel to provide a service to people in need. The group is called Alternative Breaks and the members exhibit a unique set of qualities that distinguish them from many others. »

Board appointees confirmed

In September, Governor Jennifer Granholm announced an appointment and reappointment to the SVSU Board of Control. Jerome Yantz reappointed, while Jeffrey Martin was newly appointed. Both of their terms expire on July 21, 2015. Martin is succeeding Ruth A. Braun, whose term expired earlier this year. »
