Vanguard appoints interim Editor-in-Chief
Valley Vanguard Editor-in-Chief Jason Wolverton has announced his resignation after two-and-a-half years with the publication.
Wolverton made the announcement during Friday's regularly scheduled Professional Journalistic Practices Committee (PJPC) meeting and cited time conflicts as his reason for stepping down. Wolverton has accepted a full-time position as the editor of the Internet news site MidlandOnline.com where he has worked part-time since December. »

- Medical call. Individual reported burn on arm in RFoC.

- Medical call. Individual tripped and fell in Wickes Hall stairway.
- Traffic violation on Fox Drive. Officer stopped when a vehicle was spotted in a snowy ditch. Driver was arrested for driving without a license.
- Roommate difficulties reported in First Year Suites.
- Breaking and entering in University Village. Prescription drugs taken. Incident is still under investigation.

SVSU competing in Gift of Life
1.17 percent of student body has signed up for Michigan organ donor program as part of 'Challenge'
For the past two weeks, the Student Life Center has given SVSU students the opportunity to participate in the Gift of Life University Challenge registry. The challenge is an annucal competition between several of Michigan's colleges to see who can get the most students signed up to become organ donors. SVSU has participated in this competition for the past two years. »
Disney looking for interns on campus

Research begins in University greenhouse
Last October, 34 volunteers helped secure the tarp coverings of two greenhouses located between SVSU's campus and North Michigan Avenue. And although both greenhouses have outwardly appeared complete ever since, their interior assembly has been an ongoing project that is just now nearing completion. »
