Why Choose Hockey at SVSU? |
SVSU hockey is one of the fastest growing Division III programs in the ACHA. Since being re-instated in 2006, the Cardinals have gone to the ACHA Division III National Tournament in all three years they have been eligible. SVSU won the national title after just three years of competition, making them the fastest to do so. SVSU also became the first repeat national champions when they were crowned in 2010. The Cardinals overall record stands at 92-34-0-6.

Red Pride |
The Cardinals draw the second largest crowds of any sport at SVSU. The Cards call the Saginaw Bay Ice Arena home and draw an average of 700 to 800 fans per game. It is not uncommon for the noisy students to sell out the 1,100 seat arena. The team has a designated locker room to store all of the team's equipment. All home games are broadcasted online by Michigan Regional Sports Radio for all fans who cannot make it to the game.
