National Tournament II

The Cardinals took 1st place in the MCHC league and the MCHC tournament. The cardinals defeated Calvin College, Davenport University, and Hope College during the tournament.

National Tournament

The Cardinals are entering into their 5th straight National Tournament appearance in a row. The National Tournament is being held in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tournament begins March 14th ending on the 17th. The Cardinals are going into the tournament ranked 2nd in the D3 North Region. The first opponent will be vs. #3 Iowa State from the Pacific Region which will be played on March 14th. On March 15th the Cardinals will take on #4 ranked Loyola University, Maryland from the South Region. Friday March 16th will wrap up pool play as the Cardinals will take on #1 Ranked Southern Connecticut State University from the Atlantic Region.

Cards Off to A Good Start

The SVSU Cardinals have started their season with three wins and zero losses. The cards opened their season with three home games played at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena. The first game was played on Friday, September 16th where the Cards defeated Division II opponent, Michigan State University 6-5. Freshman Dylan Welch scored 2 goals in the win. On Saturday, September 17th, the Cards faced off against Division II Central Michigan University and came out victorious winning 5-3. Scott Walter had 2 goals. The Card's third win was a landslide victory as they defeated Division III Lawrence Tech University 13-2. Senior Jon Tibaudo and Freshman Dylan Welch each had a hat trick in the win.

The Card's are off to face their conference rivals, Grand Valley State University in a double header. The first game will be played on the road on Friday, September 30th at 8:00 PM at Georgetown Arena and the second game, Saturday, October 1st at 8:00 PM at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena.
