What is the Biology Club?

Official Mission Statement:
"The purpose of the Biology Club is to promote study in the biological sciences through campus and community involvement. The Biology Club provides a social outlet for new students to become acclimated to SVSU and the Biology Department. Biology Club provides students with extracurricular activities that will help build their credentials for further education and career opportunities."

That is a very broad statement, and we like it that way. Basically we are a group of students that love the life sciences. The club gives us a way to get together and do fun stuff with others just like us while learning new things and helping the community.

How can I join

It could not possibly be any easier to join the Biology Club. All you need to do is send an e-mail to our president Olivia Steffke (oksteffk@svsu.edu) telling him that you want to join. That's it. No dues or initiation or anything. You don't even have to be a biology major or minor. All that we require is that you enjoy biology, or you at least enjoy hanging out with people that enjoy biology.

Once our president has your e-mail address, you will be put on our mailing list and notified of our next meeting. You will also get full access to our Vspace site where you can get announcements and talk to everyone on the message boards. Just show up to meetings and events as often as you can.

The club is only as good as you make it.
